Today we also went to the Nature Center near Asheville and they had lots of fun animals including a petting area.  We saw wolves, bobcats, coyotes, an otter, bear, deer and got to pet goats and sheep in the petting zoo.

Gavin showing Papa how to drive a tractor.  I think this was the highlight of his trip and it was not very easy getting him off the tractor as you can imagine.

Gavin's first fish!  We went fishing in the pond at Deva Glen today and Gavin 'caught' his first fish.  He was a little bit freaked out by it and think daddy was much more excited about it than he was. 

North Carolina Trip- Day 2

Scott and Gavin are in Asheville, North Carolina to meet lots of Scott's side of the family. The weather is great, the leaves are changing and we are having a blast. Today Gavin got his first boat ride on the pond at Deva Glen, and also went for a scenic drive through the Smoky Mountains of western N.C. Best of all we are getting to spend lots of time with family that we don't get to see nearly often enough.

Sunday in the park

We had a magnificant indian summer this weekend in Denver and we took advantage of it by playing in the leaves and going to the park with Gavin. It reached 80 degrees exactly 1 week after our first snow fall. There is really no lack of unusual weather in Denver.
