January in the Desert

Here are a few pics from our Tucson visit. Unfortunately, Scott was not able to go with us. The weather was in the 70s most of the time so Gavin spent a lot of time outside. As you can see Ruby is growing like a weed and getting more expressive each day. This pic is of our baby Ruby with her cousins (our nieces) Lindsey and Mari and Stephanie with their babies, Bubba the bulldog and Stella the teacup poodle. This pic is of my dad Tunis (Poppi) and Ruby. It was really great to hang out with family and the kids loved all the attention! They did miss their daddy a ton while we were gone!

Ruby Ruby Ruby!

Here is out latest familial addition. I couldn't resist putting this pic up-how cute is she!?!? We are all doing well with the changes. Gavin is getting used to being a big brother and despite a few headbutts and toddler tantrums, he's been very sweet to Ruby. Ruby is three weeks old today and doing great! We are exceptionally happy this Christmas season.

Photo shoot!

I got the camera out today and had a few minutes to put some effort into some more serious photos of the kids.  We had lots of fun taking advantage of a little bit of natural light although there wasn't much.  Hard to take bad pictures when you have such beautiful subjects as these. 

  

Gavin meets his new sister

I'd love to say Gavin was completely enamored with his new sister when they first met, but that would be a bit of a stretch.  He did pretty well in general, but certainly had some mixed reactions.  The next few months will be interesting to say the least!

This picture says a thousand words.  Pretty hilarious.  This makes him look like he is ready to kill, but really his reaction wasn't this harsh.

These pics were a bit more indicative of his overall reaction and I think they will end up being great buddies.
