September in Denver

Saturday we ran the Cherry Creek School District's 5 k Fitness Festival. It's such a fun event and it's always cool in the morning which signals the beginning of Fall in Denver! I placed 20th among the women-only because Scott and I accidently switched time chips :P. Pretty funny! Gavin and Ruby rode in the stroller, but we're thinking that this fitness fest might be the last one that Gavin rides rather than runs! He's getting so big as is his little sister!

Went went hiking today in Boulder and took Mari on her first Colorado hiking trip. it was a beautiful day and the kids were having a great time. We have lots of other pictures online at the Picasa site which you can see here.

First pictures with my new camera! Scott finally broke down and bought a new camera this week and got to try it out on our two best subjects! Unfortunately, the camera does not make the kids hold still like I wish they would but at least I was able to get 1 decent shot per kid. Now with a new camera, hopefully we will be better about more frequent updates to the blog.

We are in kauai this week with Bob, Kathy and the boys.  Gavin and Ruby are still adjusting to the time change, but he is having a great time.  He got to do some snorkeling this morning with Bob and saw a huge morey eel!  He was so excited, but loves digging in the sand most of all.
